Dear Member of the Class of 2008,
Welcome Celebration Graduation 2008! The theme is FIESTA! The entire community has planned a great substance-free party for seniors on graduation night!! The schedule of exciting activities for the evening of June 13th is as follows:
9:00 to 9:30 pm: Students check in at PHS
10 pm to 1 am: Walk to the Greek Church Social Hall where you will dance to a live DJ,
have your future predicted by fortunetellers, get an air-brush tattoo, eat pizza,
relax and schmooze!
1 to 2:30 am: Buses will take you to Bowl-a-rama for Midnight Bowling with a
DJ.
2:45 to 5:45 am: All students will go to New Heights at the Community Campus.
First you will be entertained by your friends embarrassing themselves
as they get hypnotized! Then you can fool around on the inflatable
obstacle course and jousting.
6:00 to 6:30 am: Back to Portsmouth High School for breakfast!
Many area shops and restaurants have donated some great prizes and gift certificates, including a laptop!!! You must be willing to spend the entire night and be present to win these prizes!!!!!!
To participate in Celebration Graduation you must abide by the following rules:
1. Be in the foyer at PHS between 9 and 9:30 pm on graduation night. Transportation to the various venues has been provided courtesy of Laidlaw Bus Company. If possible, get a ride to PHS. All cars must be left at the high school! (Please see #4 below.)
2. Understand that you MUST spend the entire night with us.
3. The attached form must be returned to Sandy White in the PHS main office by
May 30th !!! Writing MUST be legible!!!
4. You cannot drive home from the event. You must be picked up by an adult who has not
participated in Celebration Graduation.
This will be the last time that your class will be together as a group!! So plan to attend and have a great time with your classmates. There is no charge for this event if you are a member of the PHS senior class!
Guest Policy: Guests may attend for a $15 fee if they are currently enrolled in or are recent PHS graduates. ALL GUESTS MUST BE APPROVED BY THE GRADE PRINCIPAL. Guest forms are available from Mr. Donovan’s office. You will be responsible for your guest, so please remind that person that he/she is a guest of your graduating class.
We need a telephone number where a parent or guardian can be reached on that night, and we need that person’s signature on the attached form.
Even if you are 18 years old, YOU MAY NOT SIGN YOUR OWN PERMISSION SLIP! YOU MAY NOT DRIVE HOME!
