Portsmouth High School continues to take a proactive approach to graduation night celebrations and for over twenty years has offered an all-night, chemical free party for seniors from Portsmouth, Rye, Greenland, Newington and New Castle.
• Celebration Graduation is planned and hosted by PHS parents and school staff.
• 80% of the graduating class attends this event!
• Celebration Graduation serves as a fun, memorable and safe alternative to private celebrations.
• Study after study show students can be tempted to engage in risky behavior, such as drinking and driving when attending private parties
Celebration Graduation 2008 offers a wide variety of activities throughout the night:
  •  A dance with fortune tellers and temporary tattoos
  •  Midnight bowling
  •  Hypnotist show 
 
The budget for this event is $12,500, which covers the cost of entertainment, food, rental facilities, decorations and transportation. Celebration Graduation uses local vendors and providers, whenever possible.
